As a corporate and business strategy consultant at PwC, you will analyse client needs, provide consulting services across different strategic areas, and offer guidance and support to help clients develop and implement effective strategies that align with their business objectives and drive growth.

Job Summary:

As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting complex datasets from critical databases. Your role will involve transforming data into actionable insights that support business decision-making. You will also develop and maintain dashboards to visualize key metrics and trends. A strong commercial and financial acumen will be vital in understanding the impact of data-driven decisions on business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Gathering and Management:

• Collect and manage data from various internal and external databases.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy through regular audits and validation checks.
• Develop and maintain automated data collection and processing pipelines.

Data Analysis:

• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Perform statistical analyses and develop predictive models to support strategic initiatives.
• Interpret results and provide recommendations to senior management.

Dashboard Development and Maintenance:

• Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
• Continuously update dashboards to reflect the latest data and business needs.
• Train and support team members in using dashboards effectively.

Commercial and Financial Acumen:

• Collaborate with finance and commercial teams to align data insights with business objectives.
• Analyze financial data to assess business performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes with data-driven insights.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with multiple sectors, and other departments to understand data needs and deliver solutions.

 

Qualifications:

• Masters/Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.

• Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in a commercial or financial setting.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of financial principles and business operations.
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely.
• Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., R, Python) is a plus.
