The Role:
The Data Operations Analyst will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and possess strong people skills, high energy, and a strong work ethic, with a passion for becoming a consummate data professional. At times, this role will work as a scrum master, engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and resolve support tickets using data engineering skills. The Data Operations Analyst role will be pivotal in driving the adoption of data-driven decision-making across the organization.What You Get To Do Everyday:
- Guide the team to follow Agile best practices and ceremonies efficiently, ensuring smooth and effective project management.
- Develop a deep understanding of our current data products.
- Manage data as a product, ensuring it meets the needs of business users and aligns with organizational goals.
- Develop and maintain a product roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements based on business value and user feedback.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in data product management.
- Work closely with requestors to triage and curate incoming requests.
- Update user stories with sufficient details and acceptance criteria to enable developers to start working on them.
- Distill complex business problems into clear and actionable technical requirements.
- Utilize SQL and Power BI to analyze data, create reports, and provide insights to stakeholders.
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of data products through rigorous testing and validation.
- Assist with resolving tier 1 and 2 support tickets.
- Perform other position-related duties as assigned.
You Need to Have:
- Bachelor's degree in information science, data science, or business or relevant work experience
- Three years or more of work experience in a data-related role, such as Data Analyst, Data Engineer, or Business Intelligence Analyst
- Experience working in an Agile environment, preferably with experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role
- Proficiency working with SQL and experience working with data visualization tools like Power BI
- Knowledge of data pipeline development and maintenance
- Experience engaging with stakeholders to gather requirements and improve data products
- Experience handling level 1 and 2-tier support tickets, with a focus on troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-function team
- Excellent business user-facing skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and organize efficiently

We'd Love to See:
- Agile certification(s) - CSPO, PSPO, PMI-ACP, ACPMPO, POPM, or CDMP
- Power BI Data Analyst Associate certification
