Guidewire Analytics helps insurers and other financial institutions to model new and evolving risks such as cyber. By combining internet-scale data listening, adaptive machine learning, and insurance risk modeling, Guidewire Analytics insights help P&C customers face new risks, take advantage of new opportunities and develop new products.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions to support data-driven decision-making

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications

  • Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and transformation

  • Create and maintain data models and dimensional models to support reporting needs

  • Development of dashboards and reports using BI tools such as Thoughtspot, PowerBI, or Tableau

  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive business improvements

  • Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous testing and validation processes

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions with cross-functional teams to explore new BI solutions

  • Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best engineering practices and maintain high-quality standards in the codebase

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry technical skills

  • 5+ years of experience in business intelligence development or a related role with a proven track record of successful projects

  • Strong knowledge of databases, data warehousing concepts, and SQL

  • Strong expertise in dimensional modeling techniques for analytical applications

  • Proficiency with BI tools such as Thoughtspot, PowerBI, Tableau, or similar platforms is essential

  • Experience working in python or any other programming languages is a plus

  • Experience in the DHIC and insurance domain is a plus

  • Experience working with Kimball methodologies is a plus

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a strong understanding of business processes and requirements

  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders
