Summary

Anaconda is seeking a talented Sr. Software Engineer to join our rapidly-growing company. This is an excellent opportunity for you to leverage your experience and skills and apply it to the world of data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. 


What You’ll Do:

  • Design solutions for complex problems that are simple, scalable, and easily understood across teams.
  • Mentor team members to ensure continuous growth and improvement within the team and department.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve product quality, security, performance, and team efficiency.
  • Collaborate and work cross-functionally with product and engineering teams to implement instrumentation solutions that align with team standards and best practices across various products.
  • Continuously enhance productivity by deepening your knowledge of infrastructure, tooling, and testing best practices.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of business and company goals to ensure alignment in deliverables.
  • Lead and actively participate in meetings, planning sessions, and other team discussions.
  • Create and maintain unit and integration tests as well as detailed software documentation.
  • Identify and address process inefficiencies, ensuring cross-team collaboration and smooth operations.
  • Write clear and detailed pull requests that explain design choices, while encouraging a culture of thoughtful code reviews.
  • Take ownership of key deliverables within the department and support team responsibilities as needed.
  • Seek and act on feedback to improve workflows, delegate effectively, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Share knowledge and insights by leading or participating in lunch-and-learn sessions and team events.


What You Need:

  • Demonstrable expertise in:
    • Designing and implementing scalable instrumentation/data collection frameworks & solutions
    • Designing and implementing robust logging systems
    • Capturing detailed metrics/signals while maintaining data privacy standards. 
  • Experience with user journey tracking, hardware telemetry collection, and environment monitoring is essential.
  • Expertise working cross-functionally with multiple product and engineering teams.
  • Expertise in one or more programming languages, frameworks, or specialized systems, with the ability to articulate their strengths and trade-offs.
  • Hands-on experience designing for deployment and participating actively in deployment processes.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to balance scope and deadlines effectively.
  • Deep understanding of software development workflows and best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey risks, updates, and feedback clearly to team members and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to constructively resolve conflicts and navigate trade-offs effectively.

The US base salary range for this role is  $148,750-$221,500 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed in each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations.

Within the range, individual compensation is determined by various factors, including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter will provide more specific details on the salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
