Our Location: 

Our Seattle Fulfillment Center (SFC) is located in the heart of the Ikea Commercial District where we have 200,000 square feet of state of the art production and inventory.   We maximize our facility with two shifts of production, five days per week.  We enjoy a culturally diverse workforce and promote team orientated solutions to delight our customers.

Strong preference for commuting distance from our Seattle Fulfillment Center in Renton, WA, for occasional on site work to interact with products and co-workers.   However, the vast majority of the work can be done remotely.  This position is ideally hybrid with home office based in specifically approved states of employment.  Approved States: Arizona, Delaware, Idaho, Indiana, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, and Washington state  Applicants will need to attest to meeting technical requirements for remote work functionality.  

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to interpret complex data sets. As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing data to provide actionable insights that will drive business decisions and strategies.  

This is a newly created role.  The initial focus will be on product sales forecasting and analysis to drive decision making in product development, inventory management and operational capacity planning.  The role will expand into broader financial and operational analysis to drive strategic planning and capital investment decisions across the organization.  The role will also play a critical role in architecting a new data warehouse structure and content as we migrate to a new ERP system within the next 2 - 3 years.  The role will also support the financial budgeting and forecasting functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from various sources.
  • Develop and maintain data models, databases, and reporting systems.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to provide actionable insights.
  • Create visualizations and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of data-driven strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Excel).
  • Strong knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate complex data findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes is a plus.
