Location: Fairfield, NJ

Duration: full-time (up to 40 hours per week), for a period of 10 weeks (June 9 – August 15); rotational program that has you working 5 weeks with our Data Analytics team and 5 weeks with IT)

Our Department (Data Analytics): A Business Intelligence internship offers students and opportunity to gain hands-on experience across two core technology functions within the bank: Data Analytics and Business Process Engineering within Information Technology. Over the course of two rotations, interns will build a strong foundation in both data-driven decision-making and process innovation. In the Data Analytics rotation, interns will work with data systems and develop skills in querying, analyzing, and visualizing data to support business lines. They'll gain exposure to key areas such as data governance, data quality, and management, learning how data underpins strategic decision-making within the bank.

Job Overview: As a Data Analytics/IT Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various data analytics functions. You will work closely with the data analytics team to support daily operations and contribute to ongoing projects. This internship is designed to provide you with practical experience and insights into the data analytics field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing.
• Support the development and maintenance of data dashboards and reports.
• Help analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Participate in data visualization and presentation of findings to stakeholders.
• Assist with the implementation of data analytics projects and initiatives.
• Provide general administrative support to the data analytics team.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• A proactive and positive attitude, with a willingness to learn.
