The Advertising Technology and Data Manager plays a vital role in driving Qantas's digital advertising success. This role is responsible for leading the strategy, implementation, and optimization of cutting-edge advertising technologies to maximize campaign efficiency and performance.

Leading a team of highly skilled technology and data specialists, ensuring seamless access and utilisation of advertising technology and data platforms as well as onboarding new technologies and integrating them into existing tech and data stack. There is a key responsibility for driving growth, commercial performance, and incremental revenue to the Qantas Group.

This role requires a strong understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem across the likes of Display, Video and Search, excellent technical skills, and the commercial acumen to negotiate with external suppliers. You will develop key relationships with our tech and publisher partners to ensure we are at the forefront of new innovations and products. The role requires a passion for challenging the norms and developing first-class strategies that will help to resolve the biggest problems within the media industry utilising the latest Ad Tech capabilities.

The role also requires the ability to take complex concepts and processes, and explain them to a non-technical audience as well as driving conversations around process improvements, experimentation, and future strategies. Furthermore, you will be a key driver of data governance, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, while providing critical data analysis and reporting to inform strategic decision-making.

You’ll have:

  • 8+ years in Advertising technology, Operations and Data driven marketing
  • Degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Marketing, Advertising, technology or related analytical field
  • Team management experience with proven ability to provide training, education and
    mentoring
  • Strong understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, including ad servers, DSPs, SSPs, DMPs, and other Ad Tech platforms.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Google Analytics, Adobe
    Analytics, Tableau).
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with programmatic advertising platforms (e.g., DV360, The Trade Desk).
  • Knowledge of SQL and other data querying languages. Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g. Google Cloud Platform, AWS).
  • Experience working with data clean rooms, measurement providers e.g. LiveRamp
  • Strong experience across full Google Stack: CM360, Google Tag Manager, DV360,
    SA360, Google Ads, GA4
