Director- Data Mangement

What you’ll do

As the Director of Data Management, your role would focus on overseeing how data is collected, managed, and used within the organization to drive business insights, ensure data quality, and support strategic decision-making. Here’s a breakdown of the key responsibilities and tasks you would focus on:

 Who are your stakeholders? 

Key stakeholders include the Product Leads, Engineering leads, Data Science & Analytics department.

What you’ll bring  

• 13+ years of experience in data management, data governance, or related roles, with at least 4+ years in a leadership position
• Strong knowledge of data architecture, data modeling & data warehousing solutions.
• Good understanding and track record of building Distributed services & systems in Data Management space
• Experience in conducting Build vs. Buy analysis to determine the best-fit solutions for data management, including cost-benefit analysis, ROI assessment, and evaluation of long-term scalability is strong plus
• Analytical and strategic thinker with strong problem-solving & decision-making capabilities.
• Experience with advanced data technologies, such as data virtualization, data cataloging, and AI-driven data management tools.
• Good understanding of Devops & Cloud environments
• Proficiency with data management platforms & ETL tools (Databricks, Cloudera, ODC etc)
• Familiarity with data governance processes and practices
• Proven ability to lead & develop teams, manage cross-functional relationships & communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Experience managing & strategising multiple projects, prioritizing effectively, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
