TITLE:              Machine Learning Engineer

JOB LOCATION:           350 Campus Drive, Marlborough, MA 01752

DUTIES:  

Software Engineering (30%)

• Architect, implement, and maintain software solutions for deploying ML models in production
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to integrate machine learning components into extensive software applications
• Adhere to best software engineering practices to produce clean, maintainable, and documented code
• Optimize models for deployment considering speed, resource utilization, and efficiency
• Lead key initiatives from begin to end by managing and improving the entire software development life cycle

Infrastructure and Deployment (20%)

• Configure the necessary infrastructure for hosting ML models in an AWS environment
• Implement containerization and orchestration solutions for deploying machine learning models
• Collaborate with the IT DevOps team to integrate models into production environments and provide regular maintenance
• Optimize deployment pipelines for automating the testing and deployment of ML models using CI/CD tool
• Apply best practices for model versioning, monitoring, and maintenance

Collaboration (10%)

• Serve as the primary technical liaison between business teams, translating business requirements into actionable work streams and technical solutions
• Collaborate to understand business requirements and technical constraints
• Interact with stakeholders to understand their needs and craft solutions

Machine Learning (25%)

• Collaborate with data scientists to understand model requirements and iterate on model improvements
• Design ETL Process for large and complex data set and engineer features
• Design, develop, and implement machine learning models for predictive analytics and pattern recognition
• Evaluate and select appropriate machine learning algorithms based on project goals and data characteristics

Statistical Analysis (15%)

• Utilize experimental design techniques on marketing campaigns
• Use data visualization tools to present findings
• Perform inferential statistical analyses to derive insights. Design experiments to validate hypotheses gained from these insights. Collaborate with team members to measure these hypotheses.

REQUIREMENTS:

Master’s Degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Business Intelligence, or related field or foreign equivalent, plus 2 years experience in machine learning engineering; 2 years experience building supervised and unsupervised machine learning models using AWS technology stack; 2 years experience implementing machine learning algorithms and applications, configuring infrastructure environments, using pipeline and automation tools to create CI/CD jobs, performing statistical analysis; using team collaboration software such as Git, Jira, Confluence; working with large datasets and executing complex data pipelines with AWS technology stack; experience may be gained concurrently.

This is a hybrid role. Tuesday through Thursday are in-office days at BJ's Club Support Center in Marlborough, MA and Monday and Friday are remote days.
