Job Summary:

As an AI Security Engineer, you will design and implement robust security measures for AI and machine learning systems. You will apply industry-leading frameworks, such as the NIST AI Risk Management Framework (AI RMF), while addressing risks identified by MITRE ATLAS and the OWASP ML and AI Top 10 lists. Your work will strengthen our organization’s AI ecosystem, safeguarding sensitive data and ensuring ethical, secure, and resilient AI operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement security controls for AI systems aligned with industry and emergent best practices.

  • Identify and mitigate security risks by analyzing vulnerabilities and threat analysis.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and product managers, to ensure security is embedded throughout the AI development lifecycle.

  • Perform threat modeling, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments tailored to AI and machine learning models.

  • Design and integrate mechanisms to detect and defend against adversarial attacks, data poisoning, and model inversion threats.

  • Monitor and evaluate AI systems post-deployment to ensure ongoing compliance with security standards and frameworks.

  • Educate stakeholders on AI security risks and best practices through workshops, documentation, and training.

  • Lead efforts to maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging threats and advancements in AI security.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Proven experience in AI security, machine learning engineering, or cybersecurity roles.

  • Proficiency in AI/ML concepts, including model training, evaluation, and deployment.

  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks such as the NIST AI RMF, MITRE ATLAS, and the OWASP ML and AI Top 10 lists.

  • Experience with programming languages such as Python and familiarity with machine learning libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).

  • Understanding of adversarial machine learning techniques and defenses.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as CISSP, GMLE, GWAPT, or related cybersecurity credentials.

  • Experience with cloud platforms and AI/ML services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations and ethical AI practices.

  • Proficiency in Secure Software Development Lifecycle (S-SDLC) implementation.
