POSITION OVERVIEW
The Director, Product Management (Analytics) is a critical position in the Product Management organization. The Director, Product Management (Analytics) provides the strategic direction to the product or product portfolio while still being responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Analytics product team and product. The Director, Product Management (Analytics), must be equally comfortable with the outbound as well as inbound aspects of product management.
RESPONSIBILITES:
General PM Responsibilities:
- Engage with strategic customers and other stake holders to ensure that product releases are adopted in the field and result in the desired business gains both for the company as well as the customers.
- Manage the core product management processes in the team including requirements gathering and grooming, prioritization, feature delivery and post-release support to Sales, Pre-Sales, Professional Services and Support organizations.
- Study competition and analyze customer and industry trends to influence strategic direction of the product and help sales and marketing efforts. Responsible for defining industry point of view.
- Promote data driven decision making by gathering and using appropriate data such as user behavior, usage patterns, industry trends, etc.
- Develop and execute product strategy. Gain alignment with the internal and external stakeholders on the product strategy. Translate product strategy into short-term and long-term roadmap.
- Responsible for availability of product roadmaps and delivering standard roadmap updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Responsible for product pricing strategies, build/buy/partner strategies.
- Responsible for availability of standard demo scenarios and datasets. Demo new features to the customers and other stakeholders, gather their feedback and incorporate them in roadmap.
- Ensure user experience needs are incorporated into product roadmaps. Harness user analytics data for enhanced product and UX decisions.
- Participate in Customer Advisory Boards (CABs) to gain actionable feedback from key customers.
- Help product leaders in strategic initiatives for entire application family.

Analytics Specific Responsibilities:
- Compile a comprehensive inventory of current analytics tools utilized within the organization.
- Engage with strategic and mid-market customers to identify their preferred analytics solutions.
- Evaluate and select the most suitable analytics technology for the organization, catering to diverse user needs.
- Author and evangelize a forward-looking Analytics Strategy, ensuring alignment with customer and business objectives.
- Promote analytics as a core value proposition by delivering actionable insights and intuitive user experiences.
- Lead contract negotiations and maintain productive relationships with analytics tool providers.
- Oversee the migration and decommissioning of legacy analytics tools to ensure a seamless transition to the new platform.
- Provide regular progress updates to executive leadership on the adoption of the unified analytics vision.
- Establish and enforce best practices for operational and insight analytics within applications.
- Partner with Product Managers (PMs) to align analytics capabilities with user needs, mentoring them on effective integration.
- Work closely with the Data Platform team to ensure coordinated implementation efforts.
- Leverage existing internal data and visualizations (e.g., CRM, support metrics) for organizational insights.
- Introduce advanced AI/ML capabilities, including decision trees, XGBoost, and Random Forest models, for app team adoption.
- Utilize platforms such as SageMaker, TensorFlow, Vertex AI, and Bedrock to deliver cutting-edge analytics features.
- Align the analytics tool's data model with the data dictionary and data platform strategy.
- Define and promote standards for data-driven decision-making across the product team.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Undergraduate degree in engineering or business administration. Post-graduate degree is a plus.
- > 12 years of related experience in a software company delivering supply chain or other enterprise solutions with at least 3 years in a leadership role focused on analytics, data, or AI/ML within SaaS or supply chain domains.
- Proven expertise in analytics tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik, SuperSet, etc.), AI/ML technologies, and data modeling.
- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Experience with platforms like SageMaker, TensorFlow, Vertex AI, or similar.
- Must have presented product roadmap and vision to large audience (for example, in a user conference or customer advisory boards, etc.).
- Must understand the supply chain business processes of focus areas relevant for e2open. Including discrete &/or consumer product manufacturing companies that have a focus on Industrial, HT and auto industries (Discrete) and Consumer Products, Retail and Food & Beverage industries (Consumer).
- Familiar with supply chain execution processes with expertise in either/or logistics and global trade.
- Domain knowledge of various personas in the logistics industry along with global trade related aspects for supply chain. Planning & execution are desired experiences and knowledge areas as well.
- Proven problem-solving, critical thinking, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in one or more of these enterprise applications is preferred: SAP, Oracle, Blue Yonder (i2), o9, Kinaxis, Manhattan, Descartes, Thomas Reuters, Model N, 360Insights, OpenText.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- General office environment and responsibilities requiring:
- Extensive use of the computer which involves viewing a monitor and keyboarding for most of the workday.
- Placing and receiving phone calls.
- Occasionally moving and lifting objects up to 20 pounds.
- May require travel as needed.
