Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and versatile data professional to oversee our rapidly evolving data landscape. This role combines Data Architecture, Data Governance, and Data Analytics. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data architecture, governance, and analysis, with the ability to design and implement effective data solutions that drive business success.
This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Data Architecture & Strategy
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of data sources, types and systems across the business, use cases used and formulate recommendations to benefit the VAS Sales & Commercialization objectives.
- Create a compelling and scalable strategy and architecture to deliver against business objectives, collaborating with other data, IT, and business functions to ensure a complete vision.
- Develop and maintain data models, and data dictionaries, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
- Ensure the development of our proprietary Solution Mapping, and interconnection of disparate data sets.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and availability across all data systems and platforms.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to define data requirements and ensure alignment with business needs.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance use cases of data.
Data Governance Specialist
- Establish and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
- Develop and implement data quality management frameworks to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate with the wider team, product owners and others to ensure validity of Solution Mapping data.
- Facilitate data stewardship and data ownership initiatives across the organization.
- Provide training and support to stakeholders on data governance practices and principles.
Data Analytics, Engineering and Product Management
- Collect, analyze, and interpret complex data sets to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with business units to understand their data needs and deliver tailored analytical solutions.
- Ensure data accuracy and reliability through regular data validation and quality checks.
Develop logic to enable the use of data to fulfil business objectives in collaboration
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
- 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data architecture, data governance, and data analysis roles.
- Strong knowledge of data management principles, data modelling, and database design.
- Proficient in SQL, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and data analysis software (e.g., Python, R).
- Experience with data governance frameworks and data quality management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Certification in data management or data governance (e.g., CDMP, DGSP) is a plus.
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 141,500.00 to 181,200.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
