About the role 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in treasury operations, financial data analysis, risk management, and the application of technical skills in a dynamic corporate environment. The ideal intern will have a foundational understanding of Python scripting, front-end development (HTML/CSS), and the ability to craft SQL queries. This knowledge will be instrumental as the Treasury Data Analyst Intern works closely with our treasury team to analyse financial data, support treasury operations, and contribute to strategic decision-making. This role is perfect for those looking to apply their technical skills directly to financial contexts, offering insights and solutions to enhance our financial strategies and operations. 

 

Activities and responsibilities include: 

  • Assist in collecting, analysing, and interpreting financial data related to cash management, liquidity, and risk management. 
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations to summarize key treasury metrics, trends, and insights for management and stakeholders. 
  • Support cash forecasting and liquidity management processes by analysing historical data, identifying patterns, and developing forecasting models. 
  • Assist in monitoring and analysing foreign exchange (FX) exposure, interest rate risk, and other financial risks. 
  • Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure the accuracy and integrity of treasury-related data and reports. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, and operations, to support treasury initiatives and projects. 
  • Assist in evaluating treasury technologies and systems to enhance efficiency, automation, and data integrity. 
  • Support ad-hoc analysis and reporting requests as needed by the treasury team. 

 

Key requirements  

  • Second or final year student pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or related field. 
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in data analysis and visualisation tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Python). 
  • Basic Python scripting, Front end (HTML/CSS), SQL queries   
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders. 
  • Prior coursework or experience in treasury, financial analysis, or data analytics is preferred but not required. 
  • Familiarity with treasury management systems (TMS) and financial databases is a plus

This is a 10-week internship programme, commencing Monday 16th June 2025. You will be paid for the duration of your 10-week internship at a pro-rata salary of £27,007.50. 

Submission deadline Monday 17th February 2025. Assessment centre Friday 7 March 2025 in our London office (80 Strand), followed by final interviews in the week commencing Monday 17 March 2025. The internship will end 10 weeks from the start date.
