This role involves developing and implementing an analytics strategy and plan, overseeing the collection, dashboard creation, analysis, and interpretation of data to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing and communications programs and campaigns, optimize performance, and identify opportunities for growth. Additionally, it includes optimizing operational processes for the function and managing forecasting and budgeting.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analytics, data science, and marketing and communications measurement, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights that support business growth and brand performance. They should also have experience in operations and project management.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the organization's analytics strategy and plan, aligning it with overall business strategic priorities and goals.
- Drive the development and use of analytical models and reporting tools to provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
- Oversee the selection and implementation of analytics tools and platforms. Help manage and optimize the martech stack, including CRM, and marketing automation tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and measure key performance indicators (KPI). Establish and implement processes and best practices for campaign execution, lead management, and performance measurement. Develop and maintain interactive reporting dashboards using existing reporting tools and Excel to communicate performance updates on key metrics and channels (e.g., paid, organic, and owned).
- Develop a process to monitor and analyze marketing and communications data, including campaign metrics, website traffic, and lead conversion rates, to help the organization identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, and provide actionable insights.
- Develop new methodologies to define and measure program effectiveness and organizational productivity.
- Generate regular reports and dashboards to provide insights into marketing and communications performance and ROI, enabling data-driven decision-making.
- Advocate for a culture of data-driven decision-making, providing leadership and teams with the training, tools, and support needed to effectively leverage data analytics.
- Manage operational planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes. Collaborate with the finance team to align budget tracking and reporting.
- Oversee and optimize processes, workflows, and systems to ensure effectiveness.
- Act as the PMO for key programs related to operations effectiveness.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in analytics and marketing operations, applying relevant insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with IT and external vendors to evaluate, implement, and integrate new marketing technology solutions as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years of experience in marketing functions and analytics.
- 5+ years of experience to include business analytics, business strategy, and successful marketing program execution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, or related field.
- MBA or Master's degree with an emphasis in data analytics, statistics, or marketing.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets, draw insights, and make data-driven recommendations.
- Proficiency in web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI). Experience with statistical software and languages and tools (R, Python, SQL, Big Query) and CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce) is preferred.
- Detail-oriented mindset, with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and quality in all tasks and deliverables.
- Strong communication, storytelling, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels. Excellent at presenting findings to a diverse audience.
- Experience in people management, including leading and coaching a team.
- Cross-functional team leadership experience.
- Budget management experience.
- Strong influencing skills; able to communicate succinctly and creatively to various organizational levels and functions.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across countries, divisions, and cross-functional teams to influence business outcomes.
- Ability to operate in ambiguous environments, with demonstrated capability in dealing with complexity and ambiguity.
- Energetic, resourceful, and hands-on individual.
