About the role:

Our team is shaping the future of data integration, transforming how customers build powerful low-code/no-code solutions on the Nintex platform. You'll play a key role in building cloud services that power essential aspects of the platform, including data fabric, integration systems, events, and runtime AI capabilities. We're introducing an exciting new feature to our platform: iPaaS (Integration Platform as a Service), which centralizes connectors to support more efficient and sophisticated data pipelines. This is a new area at Nintex, and you’ll be right at the forefront, helping shape its development.

What’s even more exciting? iPaaS is where Agentic AI capabilities come to life. These AI-powered data pipelines will revolutionize business process automation, enabling our customers to build cutting-edge AI pipelines and agents.

Your contribution will be:  

• You suggest multiple viable design and architectural approaches for any given problem.
• You clearly communicate the risks, advantages, pros, and cons for each approach in design, architectural, and technical matters.
• You make good, fact-based and well-informed decisions around technical debt and trade-offs.
• You translate rough ideas into clear executable technical plans with discrete tasks.
• You find ways to deliver scope faster and facilitate prioritizing the backlog accordingly.
• You tackle technical debt proactively.
• You are a trusted resource for de-escalation of conflicts and build consensus between team members.
• You attend and contribute to team ceremonies and meetings (daily scrum meetings, planning meetings, demos, and development retrospective meetings).   
• You model expected behaviors in all ceremonies and meetings.
• You communicate progress to the team and delivery manager regularly and seek guidance when required.
• You regularly contribute new ideas and maintain focus on continual improvement.
• You are an active part of the incident management process, including on-call rotation and unblocking technical and operational decisions.
• You promote our culture through the Nintex tenets. 

To be successful, we think you need:  

• Experience of building and shipping software, preferably delivering multi-tenanted based SaaS platform 
• Expert in designing, building and maintaining APIs with proficiency in RESTful API design principles, API gateway / management tools, API documentation (Swagger / Open API) 
• Understanding of architecture patterns and practices to build reliable, scalable and secure cloud services  
• Proficient in backend tech stack, preferably JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js frameworks (such as Express.js, Koa.js, or NestJS), a database (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Azure Cosmos Db) 
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)  
• Strong collaborator, willing to contribute to meaningful code reviews and design documents 
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving industry standards 

What are the ‘nice to have’ skills? 

• Experience of middleware or ETLs or data pipelines or iPaaS will be preferred 
• Curiosity and general knowledge about how generative AI architecture and technology function, including LLMs, vector DBs, tools, chaining, agents, etc.
