We are the Trust & Safety team, composed of engineers, data scientists, designers, product managers, and operations, responsible for earning this trust by building for safety at each moment of the guest and host journey. We build cutting edge machine learning models to detect risk, defenses to deter risky actors, and operations tools that enable investigators worldwide. We define community standards and policies, set high expectations, keep bad actors out while providing delightful experiences for good users.

At Airbnb Trust and Safety, our top priority is to create a safe and trusted community for our Hosts and guests. 

The Connected Accounts team builds and maintains platform capabilities, including Trust’s Knowledge Graph. These capabilities span proactive and reactive detection of malicious accounts, and are critical for keeping the Airbnb community safe.

As a Platform Product Manager on the Connected Accounts team in Trust and Safety, you will conceptualize, build and evangelize foundational Graph ML models and signals that can enable teams in various domains such as Identity, Safety, Abuse, Fraud and Circumvention. This role will require you to identify and and solve Trust and Safety issues across different products, teams, and operational processes. 

A Typical Day: 

  • Establish the vision for Airbnb’s Trust Knowledge Graph products 
  • Develop the product strategy and roadmap, and build consensus on prioritization to drive product execution 
  • Lead ideation with technical stakeholders to design novel Graph ML solutions
  • Conceptualize, design and drive A/B tests to improve precision and recall of Graph ML models, interpreting results and formalizing clear recommendations
  • Define goals and success with clearly measurable objectives and key results 
  • Efficiently execute to ship products and deliver impact for our business and users
  • Build alignment across product teams, cross-functional partners (FP&A, Marketing, Operations, Customer Experience, Trust, etc.) and Leadership/Executive team
  • Drive product development with a world-class team of Engineers, Data Scientists, Operations Leads and Policy/Legal Experts
  • Prioritize work based on inputs from many stakeholders, while being flexible to iterate/change 
  • Evaluate new product opportunities and bring forward proposals (buy, build, partner solutions) for new capabilities with data and users at the forefront 

Your Expertise:

  • 12+ years of product management experience 
  • 4+ years of building AI/ML products or technical product management, leading cross-functional teams across engineering, data science, operations and policy.
  • Prior product, operation, or engineering experience working in Trust, Safety, Identity or Fraud
  • Deep understanding of state-of-the-art Graph ML Modelling.
  • Ability to carefully trade-off fraud prevention and impact to good users by leveraging various types of mitigations
  • Radical thinking paired with strong execution. Can envision a world different than the status quo with the ability to articulate a clear path to get there
  • Strong cross-customer collaboration: harmonizes strategies and needs of multiple customers; influences customer strategy and plans
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication ability to a diverse stakeholder audience, including a global team of C-level executives, product, and technical stakeholders
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
  • Innate capability to, directly and indirectly, lead teams through success

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
