About our team
As a Data Analyst within the data science unit of Financial Crime Intelligence, Investigations & Analytics (FCIIA) at Nordea, you will play a crucial role in aiding cross-jurisdictional special investigations and supporting operational and strategic intelligence through the analysis of data. You will leverage your expertise in data interpretation, visualization, and statistical analysis to turn data into actionable insights.

What you’ll be doing:

Collect, clean and analyse large datasets to identify patterns and trends related to financial crime.

Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using visualization technologies such as Qlik Sense, Power BI, or similar tools to monitor key performance indicators and detect suspicious behaviour.

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and provide data-driven recommendations.

Conduct ad-hoc analyses and present findings to support decision-making processes.

Demonstrate the ability to think on your feet, adapting quickly to changing circumstances and requirements.

Ensure data accuracy and integrity through rigorous validation and testing.
Who you are
This is the right role for you if you enjoy figuring out new paths, having freedom to act and take ownership of your deliveries. The role requires strong analytical skills alongside excellent communication skills to navigate complex and challenging problems related to financial crime prevention, governance and stakeholder management.
Your background and skills include:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, economics, or a related field.

Proven experience in data analysis, preferably within the financial services industry or related fields.

Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using tools such as SQL, Python, R, or similar.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Clear communication skills to convey complex findings to stakeholders.

Fluency in English.
It would be ideal if you also have:
-
Experience working with Cloud Technologies is a plus.

SAFe / Agile basic understanding.
-
Experience with visualization technologies such as Qlik Sense, Power BI, or similar tools.
