  • Full time temporary role available up to December 2027
  • Parramatta or Lismore based role but other locations in NSW may be considered subject to an approved NSW Reconstruction Authority Office, with flexible work options and hybrid arrangements available.
  • Clerk Grade 11/12 Salary ($145,378 - $168,130 per annum) plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

About the Role
In this pivotal role, you will lead a team responsible for the strategic management of financial operations and data governance. Your work will support the design and delivery of evidence-based recovery programs by ensuring accurate data collection, insightful analytics, and effective financial administration.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the financial administration of programs to ensure funding allocation and monitoring align with policies and procedures.
  • Provide high-quality business data and analytics to inform decision-making and reporting requirements.
  • Identify and lead innovative business analytics projects to solve complex challenges.
  • Manage and document business processes and requirements to align with policy frameworks.
  • Embed innovative practices and tools to promote knowledge sharing and a culture of continuous learning.
  • Facilitate the systematic sharing of knowledge and integrate accurate data to support systems, products, and services.
  • Analyse data to inform decision-making, identify risks and opportunities, and provide actionable insights.

About You
To excel in this role, you will bring strong financial and data governance expertise, coupled with leadership experience. You are a collaborative problem-solver who thrives on delivering innovative solutions in complex environments.
Essential attributes include:

  • Proven experience in financial management, data governance, and business analytics.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage competing priorities, and foster a collaborative environment.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to identify opportunities, solve complex business challenges, and drive innovative outcomes.
  • Expertise in data management and analytics to inform evidence-based decision-making and reporting.
  • Experience in developing and designing financial and operational dashboards that provides insights to our leadership team.
  • Strong skills in stakeholder engagement, with the ability to collaborate effectively across internal and external teams.
  • Experience in developing and implementing policies, processes, and frameworks to improve operational efficiency.

 

Essential requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, or Economics and experience in financial management with a commitment to ongoing professional development. 
  • Experience in data management, data analysis, and data project coordination, particularly in the context of large-scale programs or public sector initiatives, as well as proven leadership skills with experience managing cross functional teams and working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders with often competing priorities. 
  • An ability and willingness to travel within NSW and support other operational roles during disasters, emergencies, and other events, consistent with skills, background and personal circumstances.

About the Agency
The NSW Reconstruction Authority (the Authority) is a statutory corporation within Planning, Housing and Infrastructure. The Authority will improve how NSW plans for disasters and help communities to recover from them faster.
To reduce the severity and impacts of disasters, the Authority will complete critical planning and preparation with communities, NGOs, businesses, and government. When disaster does strike, we will get recovery started swiftly and coordinate reconstruction efforts across agencies, communities, and other stakeholders.
