The opportunity
POSITION SUMMARY: The Project Manager, Data Governance & Harmonization, will be responsible for overseeing the project management activities for the Data Governance & Harmonization function. This high-visibility role requires the ability to manage complex information and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders, including business and IT teams. The successful candidate will develop and implement comprehensive project plans, ensuring alignment across all teams and stakeholders. Key responsibilities include coordinating cross-functional efforts and driving project milestones to successful completion around data governance & harmonization framework. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams, possess strong communication & analytical skills, and exhibit excellent project management capabilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Lead projects in support of Data Governance & Harmonization, coordinating efforts between various US Commercial teams.
• Monitor and track progress towards set aspirations, objectives, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each operational stream within Data Governance & Harmonization.
• Adopt a consultant-like approach, capable of spearheading numerous strategic projects and guiding project teams.
• Foster collaboration among key stakeholders throughout the process, including IT, Sales Operations, Commercial Analytics, Marketing Insights, Brand Teams and Forecasting.
• Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, ensuring alignment across all teams and stakeholders.
• Prepare presentations and provide regular status updates to senior leadership, including comprehensive overviews of milestone and KPI progress, along with explanations for any potential delays or obstacles.
• Exhibit exceptional organizational, analytical, and solution-oriented skills.
• Identify and define stakeholder information needs, translating them into concrete actions.
• Manage stakeholders effectively, influencing senior-level counterparts and maintaining multiple internal relationships across all organizational tiers.
• Define and execute Change Management strategies, including regular stakeholder engagement and surveys.
• Identify appropriate interventions in alignment with Commercial Operations & Analytics, IT, and Communications.
• Support the implementation of Change Management measures.
Your experience and qualifications
Education/Certification/Experience:
• Associate’s degree is required, Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Project Management certification strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years in project management, project coordination or other relevant experience in the Pharmaceutical/Biotech/Healthcare industry.
• Experience with pharmaceutical data sets (IQVIA, Symphony, Secondary data pull), data governance, and data catalog tools strongly preferred.
• Experience in delivering presentations to diverse audiences including Senior Leadership.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data visualization tool (Tableau).
• Proficiency in project management tools and software.
• Established proficiency in devising and executing project plans, change management plans, adhering to deliverable timetables, and proactively identifying and addressing risks, issues, and challenges.
• Adeptness in framing problem statements, managing projects within stringent timelines, and fostering effective teamwork.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry commercial regulations and compliance requirements preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and work with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to drive change in a fast-paced environment.
• Driven individual with aspirations to streamline operational methodologies.
• Focused on well-structured workflows and adherence to processes.
