About the Role
As a Data Engineer at Essity, you will work across various Data & Analytics Tools, Applications, and Big Data Platforms.
You will take ownership of the data as a key company asset, driving, governing, and guiding teams to maximize value and balance speed and quality in delivery.
You will be aware of the best practices in the Data & Analytics domain and will either know the best way to utilize them or be keen to learn and share your findings with others.
In this role, you will be part of the Analytics Microsoft Delivery team, working closely with Data Science, Enterprise Architecture, and Business Unit teams to contribute to the data strategy. You will also collaborate with Application Architects and Solution Architects to implement coherent solution architecture and learn from each other.
This position is based in our office in Munich, Germany.

What You Will Do
Develop, build, configure, test, and implement data solutions, ensuring they meet technical requirements for scalability, security, performance, etc.
Align and implement measures to ensure data accuracy and accessibility, monitor and refine data management systems, and report on their performance.
Implement configuration changes, ensuring solutions are peer-reviewed and documented, and maintain, support, and repair solutions to meet specifications.
Collaborate with other data engineers to achieve requirements and performance goals.
Who You Are
You hold a degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related discipline.
You have over two years of experience with Databricks and Microsoft Azure Data Lake tools (Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, Azure Functions).
You’re experienced in building automation pipelines using Azure DevOps and proficient in Python programming and ETL/ELT processes.
You possess strong skills in software engineering best practices and data modeling, with advanced knowledge in Python for code refactoring and Spark SQL.
Experience with RESTful APIs and big data technologies (Hadoop, Kafka, streaming) is a plus, as is a basic understanding of data science.
