The ML Pricing team makes travel affordable for millions of Expedia customers. We're part of Data & AI, building ML models that find the best hotel and flight deals for travelers. Our team's work directly impacts people's travel decisions - we use powerful algorithms to solve pricing challenges and make Expedia the first choice for booking trips.

What you’ll do:

• Design and develop sophisticated ML models to optimize pricing decisions across Lodging and flights, balancing customer value with business objectives
• Analyze large-scale travel data to identify pricing patterns and opportunities for competitive advantage
• Work closely with ML engineers to deploy and scale your models in production environments
• Partner with business teams to understand pricing challenges and translate them into technical solutions
• Monitor and improve model performance through rigorous experimentation and validation
• Research and implement new ML techniques to continuously enhance our pricing algorithms

Who you are:

• You are an ML expert with Master's/PhD (or comparable experience) and 2-3+ years of experience building production ML models, strong in both theory and practice
• You are skilled in causal inference, economic modeling, and operations research, with deep expertise in Python, SQL, and ML frameworks
• You are a results-driven problem solver with a track record of getting things done and delivering measurable impact
• You're a strong communicator who can explain complex ML concepts to diverse audiences and enjoys collaborating in cross-functional teams
• You're a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple projects while maintaining high quality standards
