What you'll do...

Position: Senior Manager I, Data Science

Job Location: 640 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086

Duties: Create the long-term strategy and transformation roadmaps for Walmart’s rapidly growing omnichannel business. Manage and execute entire projects from start to finish including cross-functional project management, data gathering and manipulation, analysis and modeling, and communication of insights and recommendations. Build scalable and complex supply chain models and processes to optimize supply chain strategies with goals to deliver excellent customer experience while balancing operating costs and asset efficiency. Build scenario modeling capabilities to understand the sensitivity of model outputs to multiple variables. Identify areas of opportunity and drive results partnering with cross-functional teams. Obtain alignment from relevant business partners and management support for projects and lead discussions to drive change. This position does not supervise employees.

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or the equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any), or related field and 2 years of experience in an analytics related field; OR Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any), or related field and 4 years of experience in an analytics related field.

Skills required: Experience mining data and cleaning data using SQL, Python, and Microsoft (MS) Excel. Experience developing greenfield and brownfield network solutions using network modeling tools: anyLogistix and LLamasoft Supply Chain Guru. Experience building scalable Linear and Integer Programming Models to optimize supply chains using Gurobi and CPLEX Solver. Experience visualizing and publishing data using Tableau. Experience creating long term distribution strategies using optimization models built on Python. Experience building and presenting recommendations to executive leadership and business stakeholders using Microsoft (MS) PowerPoint. Experience leading cross-functional project management activities to support key business decisions. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $143,000/year to $286,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.   Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
