Position: Senior Manager, Operations
Job Location: 850 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066
Duties: Build delivery driver applicant reserve management models and analytical frameworks using advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics including regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, clustering, and decision trees. Develop predictive modeling and optimization algorithms querying databases and using statistical computer languages including R, Python, Stata, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Looker, and MS Excel to provide regional and network insights. Analyze data from 3rd party providers and Google Analytics 4 to monitor over 3M driver applicant pipeline. Build segmentation and bidding framework models to create efficiencies and achieve cost saving. Leverage financial modeling, scenario analysis, and risk management to assess financial impact of strategic initiatives and manage over $60M acquisition team budget. Propose, design, and analyze experimentation across acquisition channels with advanced statistical techniques and concepts, including regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests, and A/B testing. Develop analytical business frameworks and deliver analyses to guide decision-making and prioritization across Marketing, Onboarding, and New Driver pillars. Provide support on marketing and optimization projects (including marketing analysis, reserve management, funnel conversion, and application competition time), process implementation, and Candidate Management System and Driver Management System integration. Leverage data and analytics frameworks to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency. Partner with product managers and engineers to translate data insights into decisions and action. This position supervises two employees (Manager, Operations; and Senior Analyst, Business Support)
Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Engineering (any), Operations, or related field and 1 year of experience in operations, project management, or related area; OR Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Engineering (any), Operations, or related field and 3 years of experience in operations, project management, or related area.
Skills required: Experience deploying advanced machine learning and statistical analytical methodologies including predictive modeling, regression analysis, and optimization algorithms to inform strategic decisions. Experience utilizing data analytics tools including Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Looker, and MS Excel for data retrieval/querying, interpretation, and visualization. Experience with financial modeling, scenario analysis, decision trees, and risk management to assess financial impact of strategic initiatives and drive business case development. Experience employing platforms including JIRA and Confluence to create Business Requirements Documents and collaborate with Product and Engineering teams for backlog grooming and accelerated product development cycles. Experience developing statistical data models in R, Python, and Stata to track and analyze business performance against key business goals and success metrics. Experience driving the development and enhancement of operational tools, reports, and customer-facing functionality and providing direction on project, business, and functional requirements to lead and manage projects. Experience translating data analysis into actionable recommendations aligned with business objectives and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop processes and strategies to manage projects and achieve business goals. Experience managing feature enhancement through business case development, product requirements, and project management. Experience with CRM or talent management software Salesforce. Experience with SQL, Google Analytics, and Finance. Experience executing go-to-market strategies by analyzing customer and competitor insights and industry trends and scaling efforts to go from MVP to best-in-class. Experience taking ownership of business goals, KPIs, customer insights, competitor analysis, and business trends throughout the entire business cycle. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $150,768/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
