Job Summary

The Data and Business Intelligence (BI) Manager leads/overseas the development and implementation of data analytics projects to harness the power of data. Primary responsibilities include leading/overseeing the work the collection, storage, and analysis of data, generating and presenting data insights to business partners, as well as, acting as a data steward in providing innovating ways to improve the bank’s Data and BI capabilities. The manager must exhibit excellent leadership competency, business acumen, communication skills, technical analysis and programming skills. The manager will work with executives, business line management, business analysts, cross-functional partners, and vendors to design, develop and deliver data products and/or analytics solutions to drive impactful business value.

Pay Range: $155,000- $174,000- $232,000

Job Responsibilities:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the design, develop, and implementation of data and BI products which translates data into insights. Partner with talented cross-functional teams (across data science, data management and governance, IT delivery, cloud architecture, vendors etc.) to execute upon a shared vision.
  • Oversee ongoing data processes; advise and co-build a scalable data infrastructure that supports the organization’s business strategy and augmented data analytics capabilities.
  • Work with business partners to provide consulting data insights that will guide strategic initiatives and execution.
  • Coach members of the Data and BI team by providing guidance, support and feedback on work. Help the team develop the skills and competencies.
  • Responsible for talent management functions including: employment, performance evaluations, staff development/training, disciplinary actions, succession planning and ensuring all staff comply with compliance requirements.

ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings.  Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Qualifications:

  • Education level required: Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent) in a relevant field such as computer science, information systems, mathematics, statistics, data science, or engineering.
  • Minimum experience required: 7+ Years relevant data engineering, data analytics, computer science, business intelligence industry experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in modern data architecture, strong SQL programming, and data modeling.
  • 3+ years of experience leading data analytics projects and/or teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of data warehouse and data governance.
  • Proven experience with one of the BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, QlikView etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education level preferred: Master's Degree (or Postgraduate equivalent) includes a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on data analytics or a Master of Science (MS) in data science, business intelligence, or a related field.
  • Experience in developing data solutions in Cloud (Snowflake, AWS preferred).
  • Experience in modern data integration platforms.
  • Experience in MLOps, DataOps, and/or Agile.

Job Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and talent management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with BI and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, QlikView etc.).
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets, connect with business acumen to draw meaningful insights.
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot data and analytics issues.
  • Ability to manage large complex projects and competing priorities.
  • Physical demands (ADA): No unusual physical exertion is involved.
