Social Finance, LLC seeks Staff Data Scientist in San Francisco, CA:

Job Duties: Analyze and evaluate data to develop and propose value-added credit risk
strategies and models for SoFi’s lending products, including Personal Loan, Student Loan
Refinance, Private Student Loan, and Credit Card. Architect credit underwriting, pre-screen
targeting, risk tier assignment and Loan amount assignment strategies. Use deep analysis to
power the future of lending with an optimal real-time data ecosystem – including multi-product
internal, bureau, third-party, and alternative data sources and uses. Understand credit risk and
develop approaches to mitigate loss and responsibly grow revenue. Monitor the performance of
strategies and portfolios. Document and communicate results and escalate issues as necessary
and identify gaps/opportunities and drive actions. Telecommuting is an option.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Quantitative
Finance, Data Science (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and five (5) years of
experience in the job offered or in any occupation in a related field.
Special Skill Requirements: Five years of experience in the following: (1) Risk Analysis; (2)
Origination Credit Strategies; (3) Loss Forecasting; (4) Cash Flow Analysis; (5) Monitor
performance; (6) A/B Test; (7) Python; (8) Tableau; (9) Excel; and (10) SQL Server. Any suitable
combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an
option.

Salary: $220,320.00 - $253,368.00 per annum.
