Our Opportunity:

Chewy is seeking Business Intelligence Analyst III to use a wide set of technical and analytical skills to help us advance our data analytics and reporting initiatives improving our Delivery Experience at Chewy in Boston, MA, Minneapolis, MN, Bellevue, WA or Plantation, FL. The expectations of the prospective candidate will be to drive the foundational operations metrics and reporting used by our leadership teams at all levels. In this role, the candidate will support different business groups in the fulfillment operations and supply chain space and build high quality and impactful data products.

Duties of this position include but are not limited to setting up data pipelines, ensuring data integrity across the systems, analyzing large data sets, investigating data anomalies, developing intuitive data visualizations, extracting actionable insights, communicating results with customers, training and mentoring other Team Members, developing solutions for complex business problems, and automating manual data processes.

What You'll Do:

The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge on working with SQL and BI tools. Day-to-day responsibilities will focus around performing deep-dive investigations into data questions and weaving those findings into an effective story to lead changes within the fulfillment network. This role will be primarily responsible for developing operational metrics and building solid data products using BI tools and other software. You will also be responsible for taking analytic findings and working with collaborators to implement the methods used in the analysis to drive analytic insight around the findings. This role is high visibility and high impact. Good communication and collaboration are crucial.

What You'll Need:

  • A bachelor's, master’s degree or equivalent experience in information technology, engineering, statistics, computer science, business with analytics focus, or related field!
  • 4 plus years of related full-time experience in an analyst role working on a business team, preferably in e-commerce or retail industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and prior experience with data modelling and performance tuning techniques are a must-have.
  • Experience with ETL techniques and BI tools (Tableau, KNIME, Control M, SSIS, Alteryx etc.) used for data transformation.
  • Monitor data pipelines for accuracy, missing data, enhancements, and any other changes.
  • Reconcile data issues between various systems and find opportunities drive improvements.
  • Solid knowledge on using data visualization tools (preferably Tableau) working with multiple data sources and several dashboards.
  • Lead quality control and testing initiatives for work you're doing produced by Analytics team.
  • Demonstrable success in interpreting data and analyzing results using statistical techniques and presenting findings to business partners across the organization.
  • Experience applying statistical techniques such as hypothesis testing, correlation, classification, regression, and time series forecasting.
  • Experience using machine learning frameworks in R or Python to drive process improvement is a big plus.
  • Conceive, develop, and implement analytics solutions to sophisticated business problems
  • Work with cross-functional partners in defining and documenting requirements for building high quality data products.
  • Experience with Git, Jira, and Confluence to handle source code and track project development.
  • Develop and deliver communication and training plans on data analytics capabilities, standards, and processes.
  • Lead the evaluation, implementation and deployment of emerging tools and technologies to improve efficiency.
  • Passionate about using data to drive innovation within a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
  • Current permanent US. work authorization required.

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.   We offer different types of insurance, such as medical/Rx, vision, dental, life, disability, hospital indemnity, critical illness, and accident. Pay Range$110,500—$176,000 USD
