We help our customers nationwide coordinate services across their enterprises, enhance efficiency through process improvement, and delivering quality services within cost and on schedule.  PSI Pax, Inc has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Data Scientist with experience in data visualization software, mathematical modeling, data sharing and collaboration to support our customers located in St. Inigoes, MD. Duties and Responsibilities: In support of our NAWCAD customers, the PSI Pax Data Scientist will develop and implement a set of techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software. The analyst will apply:
  • Data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets.
  • Visualize, interpret, and report data findings to create dynamic data reports and dashboards, and work collaboratively with stakeholders to investigate, analyze, and use predictive modeling to inform data decisions.
Specific duties include:
  • Mine and analyze data from various databases to drive optimization and improvement of decision support.
  • Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
  • Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
  • Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences and operational outcomes.
  • Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
  • Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
  • Applies analytic techniques in the evaluation of project objectives and contributes to the implementation of strategic direction.
  • Performs analyst functions including data collection, interviewing, data modeling, project testing, and creation of performance measurements to support project objectives.
  • A senior level person typically works on high-visibility, or mission-critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently.
  • A senior level person may oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.
 Qualifications: 
  • At least ten (10) years relevant experience successfully working with large and diverse teams and the ability to effectively provide guidance, direction, and supervision in business operations support. Of the required 10 years of experience, at least five years of supervisory experience is required.
  • Secret Clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. 
  • MS Office Suite proficiency
  • Data visualization software proficiency (Qlik, PowerBI)
  Education Requirements 
  • Master’s degree
  • Bachelor’s degree plus four (4) years of additional work experience related to the applicable job functions may be substituted for a master’s degree.
