Software Engineer II

As a Software Engineer II in the Bing Places Signals team, part of our data organization, you will apply your skills in building high-scale distributed services to develop new features and enhance the quality of our services. You will create services that discover, extract, and collect physical world signals from multiple sources to improve our product user experience. The Signals team is a newly formed part of our organization, comprising a mix of Software Engineers and Applied Scientists working on enhancing key signals for our product by leveraging advanced data and AI techniques. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute and learn while working on one of the largest web-mined data sets in the world, using the latest AI models that you will fine-tune to solve our specific business cases. Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality, well-tested, and secure code.
• Work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
• Collaborate with multiple teams across different regions.
• Engage in a mix of software, data, and Machine Learning engineering tasks.
• Contribute to feature designs working with your team and product management.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND proven years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.
• Experience working with cloud data technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience writing and maintaining highly scalable cloud services.
• Experience with large data engineering projects.
  
• Knowledge of Machine Learning engineering basics.
  
• Knowledge and working experience in data mining.
