Data Analyst

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst with deep knowledge in Microsoft SQL Server, Databricks, and PowerBI to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in delivering both continuously updated dashboards and ad-hoc reports to key product stakeholders.

This position is remote.

Base Pay Range Salary Range: $74,000 - $104,000

We will be accepting applications until a final candidate is identified.

The above reflects the pay range that QSC reasonably expects to pay for this role. This pay range also depends on various factors such as job duties and requirements, relevant experience and skills and geographic location. Responsibilities

• Data Hygiene and Preparation: Ensure that data conforms to internal data semantics and style standards.
• Product Data Analytics: Craft reports, dashboards, and other visualizations of product driven (IoT) data.
• PowerBI reporting/dashboarding: Create and maintain elegant, modern, and functional BI dashboards for internal consumption.
• Database Management: Develop, deploy, and maintain relational and document databases; ensuring their performance and integrity.
• Collaboration with Teams: Partner with Azure architect, data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure data solutions meet analytical and operational requirements.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize data systems for performance and scalability, addressing bottlenecks and recommending improvements.
• Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation for data pipelines, architecture, and workflows to support scalability and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, or a related analytical field.
• Experience:
• 3+ years of experience in data science roles.
• Microsoft certified BI Analyst Associate
• Proficient in MS SQL Server for database management, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Proficient in noSQL type document databases (MongodB, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with Databricks and pySpark for big data processing and analytics.
• Programming Skills: Proficient in Python, KQL, SQL for data pipeline development and processing.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, self-starter, and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• AV integrator/Musician: We work in the AV space, dealing with AV data.
