Job Summary:

The Manager of Business Intelligence will provide technical leadership, ensuring alignment with business objectives and promoting best practices in customer-facing analytics initiative. This role will serve as the principal point of contact for the customer analytics initiative, leading cross-functional teams from concept and design to delivery, while ensuring alignment with the organization’s business objectives.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data & analytics, application development and cloud technologies, with a proven track record of successfully leading complex IT projects.

Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy:

  • Provide leadership and oversight for the Data and Analytics team, ensuring the successful delivery of customer analytics projects.
  • Develop and implement data strategies that align with business objectives and drive innovation in customer analytics.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and prioritize business opportunities that can be enhanced through effective customer-facing data and analytics solutions.

Project Delivery:

  • Act as a delivery manager for a project focused on embedding Power BI reports into e-commerce platforms to enhance customer experience.
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of solutions using Azure ADLS, Azure Synapse, MS Fabric, MS Power BI Embedded, Azure Kubernetes, and CI/CD processes.
  • Ensure customer-facing analytics projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while meeting quality standards.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts related to customer analytics to non-technical stakeholders clearly and concisely.
  • Act as a key advisor to IT leadership, providing insights and recommendations on emerging technologies and trends in customer analytics.

Team Development & Management:

  • Develop and mentor high-impact technical leadership teams through onboarding, open communication, training, and development opportunities, and performance management processes.
  • Build and maintain employee morale and motivation, ensuring a high-performing team of technical professionals focused on customer analytics.
  • Manage the hiring, training, and development of staff, provide performance reviews, recommend pay increases, and ensure consistent application of organizational policies.

Technology Governance:

  • Bolster the governance processes and ensure that end-to-end projectized customer-facing data solutions comply with architectural principles & standards, company policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
  • Lead the technology selection and system integration for customer-facing data solutions, ensuring that they align with the overall enterprise architecture.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies, evaluating their potential impact on data and analytics strategies.
  • Promote a culture of innovation, encouraging the exploration of innovative technologies and approaches in customer analytics.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase the effectiveness of data solutions.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in IT, with at least 4 years in data and analytics roles in large/complex environments.
  • 2+ years of experience in managing data and analytics teams
  • 2+ years of experience working with Azure concepts and implementations.
  • Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data pipeline development.
  • Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
  • Experience with Power BI Embedded and customer-facing analytics projects.

Skills:

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in SQL, Python, or other relevant programming languages.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels in the organization with required technical depth and breadth.
  • Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of emerging technologies and industry trends and possesses a continuous learning mindset.

Certifications:

  • Relevant certifications in Azure cloud architecture, data analytics, or MS Fabric are a plus.

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$115,440.00 - $173,160.00 Annual

The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
