Our client is a leading provider of generative AI solutions designed for both government and commercial sectors. Their platform focuses on secure, versatile, and cloud-agnostic AI applications, supporting a wide range of large language models (LLMs) for data processing across text, images, and audio. Our client’s technology is built to support various cloud infrastructures, offering strong security features, including zero-trust access controls and compliance with high government security standards. The platform also aims to enhance productivity by enabling users to analyze diverse data formats efficiently.
Responsibilities
Our client is seeking a Director of Marketing to work closely with the Chief Operations Officer to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and revenue growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in marketing leadership, particularly within the government sector. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Department of Defense and Federal agencies, and the ability to create innovative marketing campaigns that align with our business objectives.
- Developing Marketing Strategies: o Create and implement aggressive marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and drive customer acquisition.o Develop comprehensive marketing plans that align with the company's strategic goals and market opportunities.
- Managing Marketing Vendors: o Select, lead, and manage the marketing agency, ensuring close collaboration with the COO.
- Building Relationships: o Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders to enhance collaboration and drive marketing initiatives.o Develop and nurture sustained relationships with vendors, resellers and other sales partners to leverage strategic collaboration and brand affinity.
- Analyzing Market Trends: o Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify new marketing opportunities and inform strategic decisions.o Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Collaborating with Other Departments: o Work closely with sales and product development to align marketing strategies with overall business objectives and customer needs.o Collaborate with the COO to ensure marketing budgets are effectively managed and aligned with company goals.
- Setting Marketing Goals: o Executes identified marketing goals and KPIs for the company, monitoring progress and adjusting tactics as needed to achieve targets.o Foster a results-oriented environment that encourages accountability and high achievement.
- Creating Marketing Campaigns: o Develop and implement innovative marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, and traditional marketing.o Utilize data-driven insights to refine marketing strategies and improve campaign performance.
- Tracking Marketing Activities: o Monitor marketing activities and track consumer behavior, leveraging analytics to inform decision-making and recommend strategy adjustments.o Identify areas for improvement within the marketing process and create targeted programs to address them.
- Identifying Areas for Improvement: o Implement best practices to enhance marketing efficiency and effectiveness, driving continuous improvement across the marketing organization.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of marketing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful, product-oriented marketing strategies.
- Strong record of targeted marketing campaigns toward customers within the Department of Defense and other Federal agencies.
- Strong understanding of government technology convenings, channels, and regulations for outreach.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Ability to develop, recommend to leadership, and execute strategic marketing plans that deliver results, including translating big ideas into tactical actions.
- Proficiency in marketing analytics and data analysis, with a strong analytical mindset.
- Experience with marketing automation tools, CRM software, design, and video production.
- Though infrequent, willingness to travel as needed to meet business objectives (10%).

- Security Clearance Eligibility: The candidate must be able to obtain required DoD clearance requirements.

Preferred Requirements
- Local to Washington D.C. is preferred
- Prior experience working within an emerging, high-growth company and/or government-focused companies is highly preferred
Clearance Requirements
- Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Must be able to obtain a US Government Secret level clearance once starting the position.
