Head of Data

We're looking for a Head of Data to join our team in London as part of our Data Science function.

Your Role:  You will run our newly created ‘Data department of Excellence’. Acuity Pricing webscrapes millions of lines of data every day, processes them through our proprietary algorithms and AI interfaces and delivers these in a user friendly way to our end users- market leading UK brands and retailers. Reporting to the MD and working alongside the product team, the new Head of Data will be responsible for owning this data, creating new dashboards and visualizations to help quality control, tell data stories and spot and analyse trends. Finding new and exciting ways to productise our data. In this new role it is important to be a self starter, naturally curious and be able to build a data strategy and prioritisation in order to consistently add value.

Key Responsibilities 

• Develop and manage strategies to ensure our data quality is of the utmost integrity.

• Own the end to end data journey from data acquisition through to data visualization and delivery.

• Leverage existing and new AI tools, liaising with our AI Lead and Catalogue Manager to find efficiencies and improvements.

• Introduce data visualisation tools and ways to spot and analyse data trends, working with data analysts and content writers to create meaningful retail insights..

• Explore how our data can add additional value to clients through new insights and product sets.

• You are an advocate and ally for diversity, equity and inclusion

Your Experience

• Extensive experience in roles using data in a senior management position.

• Experience with various data tools including SQL, Python, Power Bi/Tableau.

• Advanced Excel skills

• Ability to convert data into stories

• Naturally curious, desire to understand the market and drive increasing value.

• Highly collaborative and communicative with the ability to get the best out of team members and focus on team development.
