CORE JOB SUMMARY                                                                                                                                   

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Data Analyst to join our Human Resources team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the HR data analytics function, providing insights and recommendations to drive strategic decision-making and improve HR processes. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across various functions to gather, clarify, and document reporting and analytic requirements for both recurring and ad hoc reports, as well as special projects. 
  • Extracts data, manipulates, explores data using quantitative, statistical and visualization tools. 
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of HR dashboards and reports, providing real-time data insights to HR leadership and other stakeholders. 
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data through a robust validation process. 
  • Safeguard the confidentiality of data by adhering to established security and privacy standards. 

  • Process Improvement: 
  • Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and improve efficiency through data-driven decision-making. 
  • Apply best practices in HR data analytics and stay up to date with industry trends and technological advancements. 

  • Collaboration and Communication: 
  • Work closely with HR business partners, IT, and other departments to ensure data alignment and integration. 
  • Advise functional teams on the selection, application, and implementation of key HR metrics. 

Preferred Skills: 

  • Experience with Workday Reporting and data integration.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field

Certification and Licensing:

Not Applicable

Experience:  

Minimum 4 years of relevant experience

Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions.
  • Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
  • Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
  • Proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office)

DEPARTMENT ADDENDUM

Department Specific Functions

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel, SQL, Python, Tableau, R, or Power BI.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data insights to non-technical audiences
  • Solid understanding of HR processes and best practices. Experience with Workday Reporting and data integration strongly preferred.
