The Inventory Optimization, Sr. Manager is accountable for data driven analysis to test, socialize and implement various working capital optimization initiatives.

In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for supporting multi-year plans to maintain sales and margin growth while also effectively managing inventory investments. In addition, you will partner closely with various teams to identify opportunities, validate business impact, establish timelines to capture value.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

∙ Translated business problem into modeling approach taking into account business requirements, data availability, development time / complexity and ability to scale

∙ Work closely with internal and external partners to explore additional value creation opportunities.
∙ Effective communication with internal stakeholders on progress of key initiatives, opportunities/risks.
∙ Track initiative investment budgets (capital and expense).
∙ Evaluating process improvement opportunities
∙ Execution of high performing strategies that work effectively with other parts of the business and with suppliers and external supply chain partners to meet business targets
 

Required Qualifications

∙ 5+ years of data science experience in business setting including collaborating with business partners to understand problems, gather business requirements, design data science models and communicate results and insights back to business partners

∙5 years with Supply Chain, Sales and Operations planning, Inventory Management, Capacity Planning or similar experience, Merchandising, and/or Strategy

∙Experience with MS Access & or SQL

∙Experience with corporate finance/ building ROI models
∙Experience analyzing inventory and service level performance

∙Experience aggregating data to facilitate cross-functional communication 

∙Experience with mathematical and basic statistical knowledge
∙In-depth experience with MS Excel and PowerPoint
∙Up to 15% travel

Preferred Qualifications

∙ Masters Degree or MBA preferred

∙ Data management and model production best practices
∙ Modern machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques

∙ Experience with modeling tools and frameworks, e.g., Python, R, Scala, TensorFlow, etc.
∙ Supply Chain Certification an asset- RSSC, CSCMP or APICS preferred
∙ Previous experience in an S&OP environment preferred
∙ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
∙ Strong business acumen
∙ Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
∙ Good judgment and decision-making ability
∙ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation skills
∙ Demonstrated understanding of inter-relationships between inventory planning, category management, and finance

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$82,940.00 - $182,549.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
