The Role

 

Key Responsibilities:

Associate Managers for various and unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. (HQ: Chicago, IL). Lead the overall data architecture, data management, and solution design for CCC’s data related requirements. Manage a team of data architects to deliver innovative and improved data solutions by implementing emerging technologies, new delivery models, and technological advancements. Design best practices for information reporting, data loads, databases and data migration projects. Lead the effort for developing and optimizing data models to store and retrieve company information. This includes gathering and analyzing data requirements, migrating data, and designing efficient data models. Oversee migration of data from legacy systems to new cloud systems as part of modernizing IT technology stack, including data profiling, assessment, and defining data changes needed to make the data the target level of business usefulness data mapping from source to target data models. Oversee information security, reporting and profiling requirements. Manage the relationship between application teams and IT for operational projects related to product hosting such as database upgrades, storage upgrades, operating system upgrades/patches and security. Support the production system and actively manage and develop product enhancements to deliver customer focused solutions. Technical Environment: Oracle, SQL, SQL OLTP/OLAP, Normal Forms, dimensional, star, snowflake, cube, graph/NOSQL, Oracle SQL Developer, MS SQL Server Management Studio, MySQL workbench, Postgres, Cassandra, PG Admin, understanding of SQL for information security, data reporting and data profiling, public cloud (GCP, AWS) and private data center technologies, Pentaho ETL, AWS, Agile, Scrum, PLSQL, Perl, Java, Python programming for data integration, Scala, MicroStrategy, Tableau.

Requirements:

*Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or any Engineering or related field plus 2 years of experience with database/ data architecture required. Required skills: Experience leading and mentoring technical team, Oracle, SQL, SQL OLTP/OLAP, Normal Forms, dimensional, star, snowflake, cube, graph/NOSQL, Oracle SQL Developer, MS SQL Server Management Studio, MySQL workbench, Postgres, Cassandra, PG Admin, understanding of SQL for information security, data reporting and data profiling, public cloud (GCP, AWS) and private data center technologies, Pentaho ETL, AWS, Agile, Scrum, PLSQL, Perl, Java, Python programming for data integration, Scala, MicroStrategy, Tableau. Some telecommuting permitted. (*Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or any Engineering or related field plus 5 years of progressive experience with database/ data architecture also acceptable.) $147,472-$175,409/yr.
