We are looking for a strong Senior People Data Analyst to set the vision for how we use data-based insights to guide our people strategy. This key role will establish and mature Checkr’s capabilities to harness insights using people data and the actions informed by those insights to improve key metrics for the business. The ideal candidate is a seasoned People Analyst with strong business acumen and domain expertise to build a variety of analytical solutions, including dashboards, tools, and models that will engage, motivate, and move people to action. This is a highly cross-functional and hands-on role where ability to form deep partnerships with senior leaders, other analytics teams, and the People team will be essential to success. What you'll do:
- Partner with key People team stakeholders to understand their challenges, frame opportunities, and design analytics or research solutions to address their needs.
- Assist with creating various self-service reporting solutions / purpose-built tools that enable stakeholders across the company to be effective and self-sufficient in applying data to their roles.
- Deliver insights into various business-critical analytics projects (e.g., flight risk modeling, attrition scenario modeling).
- Monitor key performance indicators to help guide strategic direction and operational priorities for business leaders.
- Assist with creating data stories to influence business leaders and drive change at all levels of the organization.
- Conduct research projects
- Pull and create custom reports in Workday, CultureAmp, and Greenhouse - emergent requests
- Enable self-service and automation wherever possible.
- Perform additional People Operations duties and projects as they arise.
What you bring:
- Strong analytical acumen and comfort in drawing metric-based conclusions by managing an extensive amount of data, including the ability to design predictive analytic insights.
- A high degree of customer obsession, with a track record for delivering results, team collaboration, and strong analytical acumen.
- Strong HR functional expertise with technology, operations, implementations, systems, and data & analytics.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work “hands-on” and willingness to "roll up your sleeves" to get things done.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills while exercising sound judgment.
- Proven experience handling confidential and sensitive information with the ability to exercise discretion and show good judgment; honesty, integrity, and trust-building behaviors in all dealings are essential and required in this role.
- Experience working with our most used tools, including Workday, Snowflake, and Lookr.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills required.
- Proven time management skills and an ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of organization are required.

We use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop ranges for our roles and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range. If this role is remote, we have listed the top to the bottom of the possible range, but we will specify the target range for an exact location when you are selected for a recruiting discussion. The base range for this role is: $126,000 to $148,000 in San Francisco, CA.
