Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Advanced Manufacturing and Process Development group – part of the Automotive Business Unit - has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual who can create immediate business impact in the exciting field of process development with a particular emphasis on the creation of software applications that employ Artificial Intelligence. 

In this software intensive role – you will utilize your knowledge, intuition and importantly your ability to learn new skills to develop innovations and complete projects that transform our manufacturing operations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, design, and development of high-performance, scalable, and reliable software solutions for manufacturing applications.
  • Develop and maintain applications using C++, Node.js, Python, and Qt.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines to enhance software development workflows.
  • Utilize ML Ops practices to integrate machine learning models into production environments.
  • Ensure robust and secure software development practices with a strong emphasis on networking protocols, cybersecurity, and system integration.
  • Optimize performance and reliability in Linux-based embedded environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams,  to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior engineers.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.

What your background should look like:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 20+ years of software development experience, with a strong focus on C++, Node.js, Python, and Qt as well as functional and efficient software design paradigms
  • Expert level  in Linux system development
  • Knowledge and use of various AWS applications
  • Strong experience with networking protocols, security, and real-time data processing.
  • Proven experience in CI/CD automation, DevOps, and software lifecycle management.
  • Knowledge of ML Ops principles and integrating AI/ML models into production applications.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to work independently and lead technical projects.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

 

Other Required Aptitudes

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and be able to provide overviews of complex topics and systems
  • Working in a team with superior time management skills
  • Ability to travel to support solutions in the field – including (but not limited to TE Automotive Americas locations
  • Strong communication skills to present concepts to team members and management, while defending your decisions and selling your ideas for the successful implementation of new products and processes.
  • Propensity for learning new skills

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $197,600 – 296,400 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
