The Role

Software engineers in Antifraud team are responsible for a multitude of projects and are expected to be able to work independently, assist their teammates and mentor junior developers. You will also be expected to collaborate across multiple workstreams and roles like architects, program management leads and engineering leads across the Technology Group.

Responsibilities:

• Understanding business objectives and design and develop ML models that help to achieve them.
• Implementing appropriate ML algorithms and tools.
• Selecting appropriate datasets and data representation methods.
• Exploring and visualizing data to gain an understanding of it, then organizing data to support the implementation of ML models.
• Verifying data quality, and/or ensuring it via data cleaning.
• Defining the pre-processing or feature engineering to be done on a given dataset.
• Defining validation strategies and performing statistical analysis and fine-tuning using validation results.
• Developing ML libraries and frameworks.
• Documenting models assumptions, parameters and validation results.
• Analysing the errors of the model and designing strategies to overcome them.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field;
• Extensive data modelling and data architecture skills;
• Self-starter with the ability to pro-actively find solutions;
• High level of integrity, confidentiality and ownership;
• Excellent teamwork skills;
• Experience working in an agile environment;
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Be engaged to continuous knowledge development regarding ML best practices, tools and techniques;
• Be a team player. Offer your help, listen and seek to understand. Step up & take initiatives;
• Research innovative technologies to find new and efficient ways to solve day-to-day challenges;
