What You'll Be Doing

Under the direction of the Senior Electronic Developers within the Electronic Trading Team, the Developer will focus on the coding, maintenance and testing of the group’s reporting and analytical products.  Primary responsibilities will include front-end maintenance and development with related server side and data layer programming, as well as assisting with support of daily processes associated with smooth operation of the products. The Developer will work closely with the Product Team within the Electronic Trading Group on meeting business specifications and needs, and planning future improvements.

What We're Looking For

 

  • Assume lead web development role on the team.
  • Assist in server-side development and maintenance of daily data processes.
  • Help with data layer development including MS SQL stored procedures.
  • Stay on top of the latest technologies and trends in UIX design and user experience.
  • Be involved in testing and documenting of the product, including analytical reports.
  • Take active role in brainstorming suggestions for product improvement.
  • Follow Stifel’s coding, development, testing and documenting standards.

What You'll Bring

  • Programming Skills: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, SQL, core Java.
  • Experience with- or good knowledge of React JS and web application development in general. Good grasp of web applications architecture and trends.
  • Nice to have: Spring Framework, Node.js, Python.
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts, data structures and relational databases.
  • Strong attention to details and analytical abilities.
  • Capability to work in independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Interest in data science and financial industry.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Education & Experience

  • Computer science or related undergraduate degree.
  • Relevant coursework or work/internship/project experience.

Licenses & Credentials

  • Minimum Required: FINRA Series 7 and 63.

Systems & Technology

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficient with computing languages Python and Java.

Compensation Range

Salary: USD $100,000.00/Yr. - USD $125,000.00/Yr. Actual salaries may vary, and may be based on several factors, including but not limited to each candidate’s qualifications, skills, and overall competencies for the position.The base salary is one component of Stifel’s overall compensation package for each individual employee.
