The Shore and Expeditionary Integration Program Office (PMW 790) is acquiring support services in the areas of production systems engineering, logistics, installation management, and integration/planning/requirements services for the architecture, integration, acquisition, and support of multiple shore and expeditionary Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) programs. PMW 790's mission is to acquire, integrate, deliver, and support interoperable shore-based C4I capabilities for the warfighter. PMW 790’s vision is to be the preeminent provider of integrated shore-based transformational Network Centric Warfare capabilities to the warfighter by providing assured connectivity between tactical forces and higher commands. The overarching goal is to ensure C4I systems programmed for installation on Navy ships have matching shore facilities of appropriate capacity to support Fleet deployments worldwide. Our goal is to migrate the shore sites and their terrestrial interconnections into a coherent, scalable, network-centric communications and multiplexing fabric designed to optimize functionality by effecting improvements that both satisfy current shortfalls and, wherever possible, provide the building blocks for future C4I architecture.

 

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Jr. Data Analyst will collaborate directly with the lead project manager to support schedule management, track and report on key project statuses and metrics, maintain data integrity and databases, and support other administrative tasks on the PMW 790 Shore and Expeditionary Integration Program Office Planning and Logistics Support Services contract. This position is located in San Diego, CA.

What You'll Do

  • Collect and enter data into databases/tools with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ensure data integrity and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the management of databases/tools, including data cleaning, organization, and maintenance tasks.
  • Learn and implement best practices for database/tool management.
  • Track and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to the business or project.
  • Collaborate with team members to understand metric requirements and goals.
  • Develop basic Power BI dashboards to visualize and communicate data insights.
  • Collaborate with team members to understand reporting needs and translate them into effective dashboards.
  • Conduct basic data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and outliers.
  • Generate simple reports to communicate findings to team members or stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update data sets as needed, ensure data consistency and accuracy.
  • Identify and rectify data quality issues.
  • Document data processes, workflows, and analysis procedures.
  • Create documentation to assist with knowledge transfer and team collaboration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver insights.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to data-related discussions.
  • Actively seek opportunities for professional development in data analysis tools and techniques. Remain informed about industry trends and best practices in data analytics.
  • Effectively communicate data findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Participate in regular status updates and present information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings, take minutes, document and distribute action items, and track action items' progress.
  • Perform various administrative tasks to include; organizational chart development, workflow development, review/develop reports, briefs, standard operating procedures (SOPs), handbooks and manuals.
  • Bid and proposal support if requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
  • HS Diploma required.
  • At least one (1) year of experience providing data analysis support within Microsoft Power BI or Tableau (Power BI experience is highly desired).
    • Experience should include building dashboards, performing trend analysis, etc.
    • Demonstrated experience in configuration changes and performing other back-end activities.
    • Proficiency in creating interactive and insightful visualizations.
  • At least one (1) year of experience using Power Applications to automate workflows and integrate with Microsoft suite.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel software (formulas, pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.).
  • Ability to build and alter briefs from conceptual inputs.
  • Experience using Adobe Acrobat to edit, organize, change, create, and export PDF documents.
  • Strong understanding of data analysis techniques, data cleansing, and data transformation processes.
  • Ability to analyze complex datasets and draw meaningful insights.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with statistical concepts and methods.
  • Familiarity with queries and macros/scripting.
  • Ability to automate repetitive tasks to streamline data analysis processes.
  • Must possess a willingness to learn, to adapt, and enthusiasm for contributing to the team's success! 
  • Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel,PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Must possess strong time management skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is desired.
  • Familiarity with Navy Shore or Afloat systems is desired. 
  • Prior experience supporting NAVWAR System Center Command, Program Executive Office (PEO) Command Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) or related Department of Navy (DON) organization.

 

INDUS aims to provide a competitive compensation package, including a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is $75,000 – $85,000. This position is eligible to participate in our corporate 401(k) and Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) programs, and may be eligible for performance bonuses, and other rewards and benefits (see more about our compensation package and benefits offered at Culture @ INDUS | INDUS Technology). The pay range for this role considers job-related knowledge, skills, work location, education and training, and certifications.
