Job Summary:

Primarily responsible for data analysis, reporting, visualization, translate complex data into actionable insights for business decision-making. This role demands a keen analytical mind, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of financial data and business processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in data analysis and business analysis, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.

Key Accountabilities:

Data Analytics & Business Analysis:

  • Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions.
  • Perform detailed business analysis to identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
  • Utilize advanced statistical techniques and tools to conduct predictive and prescriptive analyses.
  • Adhere to and promote Business Analysis best practices for scope management, business requirements management, current and future state process design, gap analysis, user acceptance testing, traceability, training, and change management through to implementation.
  • Perform quality assurance and reviews of deliverables with Business Analysts and technology and ensure all open issues, risks, and actions are managed to closure
  • Utilization of Business Analysis techniques for Business level, Software level and information level analysis such as process flow diagram, use cases, data mapping and traceability through project documents

Reporting & Stakeholder management:

  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data models and databases.
  • Create solutions that deliver business intelligence that enables the business to make metrics-based decisions.

Governance:

  • Ensure data reliability, quality, accuracy, integrity, and security by establishing and following best practices for data governance.
  • Manage data capabilities and govern data environments aligned with regulatory and other requirements and best practices.

Team Management:

  • Mentor and support junior and support analysts in developing their analytical skills and knowledge.
  • Create and deliver occasional trainings to BA's and other

Project Management Experience:

  • Knowledge of PM lifecycle and lead/ support small scale projects/ initiatives independently
  • Continuous improvement of processes for tangible benefits
  • Support and guide the creation of additional project deliverables as required

Intake Process:

  • Maturing the ITD intake process with well-defined process, communication and training to business partners, procedures, and forms
  • Mange the Intake process to meet stakeholder requests including business requirements, estimates across technology, tracking and reporting and responding back to the business
  • Lead weekly and monthly intake status updates with stakeholders.
  • Create external relationship channels to complete business requirements.
  • Establish service levels agreement and address multiple user requests in a timely fashion.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as SQL, Tableau, Power BI, and Excel.
  • Strong understanding of financial data, business processes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with data modeling, database design, and data governance best practices.
  • Nice to have: Experience with advanced statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms.

Experience & Abilities:

  • 5-7 years of experience in data analysis and business analysis, with a strong preference for experience in banking or financial services.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly present complex data insights to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Education & Training:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or similar.
