Software Engineering Intern

Title:

KBR is looking for highly motivated rising Juniors, Seniors and Graduate students seeking business, science, and software development opportunities that provide challenging and meaningful work experience to be a part of our summer 2025 Intern class. 

• Learn and apply state-of-the-art software development practices as a member of an interdisciplinary team

• Use technical and mathematical skills to analyze data and develop algorithms

• Perform validation, unit testing, and regression testing of new and existing code

• Learn and apply principles of software configuration management and revision control

• Interpret complex information and present it in a non-technical and engaging manner

• Produce documentation on work performed and make a final presentation.

Selected interns for this paid opportunity will be provided with the opportunity to mentor with experienced professionals, gain experience and establish a name for themselves in this high demand career field.  

Anticipated Skill Set: 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the willingness to learn

• Strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Experience with C++, C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, jQuery, React, Angular, HTML, and CSS is preferred. 

• Familiarity with agile software development principles

• Experience with software development lifecycle

• Working knowledge of software testing practices and automation frameworks

• Experience and knowledge of engineering principles, modeling and simulation, and data analytics is preferred.

• Major field of study: Computer Engineering, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or other scientific, engineering, or technical degree.

**Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance is required to be considered for this position.
