Description:A major and primary responsibility is to assist the Manager, Philanthropy Data Operations in the overall maintenance and functional delivery of Trinity Health Philanthropy’s national DBMS to all RHMs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the mission, vision, and values of Trinity Health in behaviors, practices, and decisions.

2. Actively contributes to facilitating and delivering database conversions, site integrations, system maintenance and upgrades, data integrity and enrichments, imports/exports, data analytics, query development, reporting and training. Develops test plans and scripts to test new functionality and accuracy of deployment for new sites.

3. Collaborates with and supports the System Office Philanthropy team and RHM Philanthropy colleagues in defining and developing queries and reports from Philanthropy’s DBMS and ensures accuracy of same. Reports and queries may be national, across Trinity Health Philanthropy, or site specific and may be required on a regular cadence or produced ad-hoc.

4. Participates in and contributes to the design, development, documentation, testing and deployment of custom reports, database smart queries, data exports and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Dashboards within the DBMS application.

5. Gathers business requirements from RHM colleagues for new business intelligence reporting needs or DBMS application enhancements. Confers with departmental leadership on practicality and feasibility of implementation, as well as overall scalability and ROI.

6. Troubleshoots DBMS application issues and works regularly with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) providers/vendors to address and resolve outstanding performance issues.

7. Provides assistance to users in determining more efficient ways to interpret, utilize and optimize fundraising data to effectuate and advance a culture of philanthropy at Trinity Health.

8. Supports and provides direction to sites in standard gift processing/recording in Trinity’s CRM, and records gifts at the System Office level. Gifts may include recurring credit card donations, online giving using Blackbaud Internet Solutions (BBIS), and gifts made via payroll deduction. Performs the associated financial reconciliations pertaining to gift processing. Works with Trinity Health’s Finance and Payroll departments to ensure proper recording of gifts and transfer of
funds.

9. Documents workflows through the development of Job Aids and facilitates training sessions as needed.

10. Manages the onsite Report Server environment and is responsible for ensuring a copy of the production database is downloaded to the server regularly; works with TIS to ensure the server is maintained and performing properly.

11. Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations, the Trinity Health Integrity and Compliance Program and Code of Conduct, as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behavior.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1. College degree and/or certification in Computer Science, Information Science, Information Technology, related field and/or an equivalent combination of education and work experience is required.

2. At least three (3) years of experience working with database structures, application support and/or report writing skills required. Fundraising/Donor Data Management application support experience in a Healthcare or Higher Education setting preferred. Knowledge of and or proficiency in Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge and or Blackbaud CRM is preferred.

3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

4. Advanced knowledge and or experience in the following Report Writing Tools is preferred: Microsoft SQL & SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power BI, or Tableau.

5. Previous Donor database application support/customer support is preferred. Strong analytical & problem-solving skills are required.

6. Basic accounting and reconciliation skills related to gift processing is required,

7. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to be able to develop and deliver training and presentations to RHM Colleagues.

8. Must be able to operate effectively in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.

9. Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

1. Must be able to adapt to frequently changing work priorities and be able to prioritize and balance the requirements of working with the System Office and Regional Health Ministries (RHMs).

2. Must be able to travel to various Trinity Health sites as needed.
