Description:

We are looking for an experienced platform personnel as a key member of our technology consulting team. You will play a vital role in designing, planning and implementing platform solutions on AWS for our clients. This role requires expertise in migrating data from GCP to AWS, thus enabling clients to leverage the full potential of cloud capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead is responsible to oversee the planning, execution, and management of the migration from GCP to AWS.
  • Lead should provide technical guidance and mentorship to the platform engineering team.
  • Architect scalable and robust AWS environments using services such as EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, and Lambda.
  • Ensure seamless migration and optimization of Kubernetes-based workloads.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and AWS CloudFormation.
  • Design and configure continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins, Spinnaker, and Argo.
  • This role requires visiting a client location as needed.
  • Collaborate with application, data, and DevOps teams for a synchronized migration effort.
  • Mentor and guide team members on best practices in cloud architecture and migration.

Must have skills:

  • Proven experience in cloud migration and modernization projects, with a strong understanding of AWS and GCP services.
  • Strong experience with Kubernetes, particularly EKS and GKE.
  • Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, and AWS CloudFormation.
  • Experienced in Anthos, Cloud Networking, GCS, Block Stores.
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as Python and Bash for automating migration tasks and processes.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to work across multiple technical teams.
  • Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot issues during migration and implementation.
  • Proficient in documenting migration processes and providing training/support to stakeholders.
  • Experience in project planning, including defining timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Ability to convey requirements and migration benefits to non-technical stakeholders.

Good to have skills:

  • Relevant AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect are advantageous.
  • Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres and Cassandra.
  • Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.
