What you would do as our Analytics developer

As a BI & Analytics developer, you will collaborate and utilize your knowledge in database technology, analytical tools, master data application and reporting tools to provide an end-to-end experience for users. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining BI solutions that enhance data analysis and reporting processes. BI Developer responsibilities include understanding user requirements, creating and managing BI and analytics solutions, and transforming large sets of raw data into actionable business information. Our ideal candidate has a strong understanding of BI technologies, analytical mindset, and excellent problem-solving skills.

 

The BI developer’s role is to enhance our business intelligence system to help us make better decisions. You will also plan and conduct investigations in case of any issues found in the reports and provide recommendations for improvement. Additionally, you will participate in various forums to align on the priority of requirements and communicate the progress and status of the projects including training. Moreover, you will work closely with the source applications to understand the possibility of the use cases and how to solve them. This function is more in line with the analytics and master data management team, which provides data analytics insights and master data management to businesses. The ideal candidate will possess strong teamwork skills, a deep understanding of data management and analytics principles, and the ability to collaborate effectively across different departments and functions.

 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement BI software and systems, including integration with databases and data warehousing, analytical tool (Power BI) and Master data application (TIBCO EBX)

  • Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to present complex data in an understandable and actionable format

  • Working with advanced data analytics skills, such as predictive analytics and machine learning

  • Build and maintain data models to ensure the accuracy and relevancy of the data

  • Manage database performance, security, and integrity

  • Oversee data extraction, transformation, and loading from various sources into a usable form for business analysis.

  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate business requirements into technical solutions

  • Provide ongoing support and training to users on BI tools and data analytics, master data

  • Perform regular maintenance and updates to existing BI solutions to enhance functionality and incorporate new data sources or analytics capabilities

  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of the data used for analysis

  • Stay ahead of the latest trends and technologies in BI, data analytics, and data visualisation, master data to improve our BI capabilities continuously

 

Essentials Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Bachelor’s engineering Degree in Computer Science, data science, Information Systems

  • 6 to 9 years of experience working with data/information within manufacturing and IT sector

  • A minimum of five years of experience working in Power BI, Snowflake and TIBCO EBX

  • Rich experience in writing SQL queries, Power Query, DAX, and JAVA

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with people at all levels of a business

  • Have great analytical skills and be exceptionally organized, structured, and systematic

  • Experience in managing development and innovation using Agile or iterative project techniques and methodologies

  • Experience of engaging with and influencing a wide range of stakeholders, including senior management

  • Expertise in the ability to communicate effectively and clearly to business and technical teams at all levels in an organization

  • Experience and ability to define multiple solution options to solve business problems

  • Strong leader skills and experience in managing onshore/offshore team and attention to detail, a drive for accuracy and a strong work ethics

  • Sound understanding and expertise to use all DevOps and project management tools (JIRA, Teamwork etc) and documentation tools (SharePoint, Confluence)

  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data security principles (GDPR)

  • We expect you to be strong in managing adaptability, being a problem-solver, and an excellent team player

 

Desirable Skills:

  • Good understanding of manufacturing industries

  • Application Tools: ERP, AX, CRM (Salesforce and Dynamics 365)

  • Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud as well as AI, ML etc.

  • Experience working in the MDM (Master data management area) and Java development
