We are seeking a talented Data Analyst to join our skilled Business Development team. This is a permanent position, with preferred locations in Helsinki, Turku, or Vaasa, Finland. In line with our hybrid work model, you will have the flexibility to work partially remotely.
What will you be doing?
As a Data Analyst in the P&FS Business Development team, you will collaborate closely with the P&FS organisation around the globe. Your responsibilities will include developing business reporting and analytics, creating Demand & Supply planning reports, conducting customer and competitor analytics, and tracking performance indicators. By fostering a data-driven approach within the P&FS context, your goal will be to enable the organisation to make more informed decisions regarding service delivery to our customers.
Your responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting the P&FS organisation with analytics and reporting to enhance efficiency and identify market opportunities.
- Developing and maintaining reports using tools such as PowerBI and Salesforce.
- Understanding and utilising various internal and external tools and databases to analyse information, create meaningful insights, and present results that support important organisational decisions by identifying key facts and trends.
- Facilitating the organisation's transition to a data-driven approach by creating tools and reports that enable smart and effective discussions about process performance.
- Supporting the deployment phase by training end-users and writing system/user instructions.
- Maintaining existing tools and ensuring their continuous improvement.
- Conducting early feasibility studies and developing proofs of concept for new initiatives.
- Championing the promotion of analytics approaches and sharing knowledge beyond your own function.
The following will enable you to succeed in this role:
- Education: BSc or MSc in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Experience with PowerBI, SQL, Python, relational databases, and data modelling. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Analytical Skills: Strong data analytical skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. An analytical mindset with the ability to search, collect, and process information from various sources.
- Work Style: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including in remote settings. Attention to detail while keeping the big picture in mind. Strong ability to learn quickly and adapt in a dynamic business environment.
- Communication: Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken.
- Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the maritime service industry is advantageous.
