The Opportunity
Works as an integral part of the postmarket surveillance (PMS) complaints team and is responsible for analyzing data, drawing insights, and presenting results in a cohesive, intuitive, and simple manner to the functional stakeholders utilizing technologies to collect, clean, analyze, predict, and effectively communicate insights. Key functional stakeholders include but are not limited to: the ADC Commercial organization, Customer Service, and national Competent Authorities.
Within the Complaints QA team, the Staff Data Scientist acts as a strategic advisor for complex complaint inquiries and advises on divisional process improvements based on incoming complaints.
What You’ll Work On
- Operational Complaints QA
- Review complex Complaints QA requests and assess internal strategy, with little management oversight.
- Provides solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Ensures that solutions are compliant, innovative, thorough, practical and consistent with organizational objectives.
- Serves as internal consultant on Complaints QA issues, field actions, and report decision-making.
- Communicates confidently and effectively with management, peers, and key stakeholders.
- Manages relationship with internal SMEs.
- Interacts effectively with team members, manager, and cross-functional peers. May represent own team while on cross-functional project teams with other functional leaders.
- Represent the complaints data team on site.
- Makes independent decisions within defined parameters while assuring that these decisions are compliant with applicable policies and procedures and are aligned with the appropriate quality system.
- Investigates complaints by gathering sufficient data from cross functional subject matter experts.
- Compose written communications detailing the complaint investigation to internal and external stakeholders like HCPs, customer service organization, national competent authorities.
- Data analysis
- Coordinate team dashboard.
- Support PMS team by analyzing data from the complaints database and interpreting it using intelligence from the division.
- Analyze data, draw insights, and present results in a cohesive, intuitive, and simple manner to functional stakeholder.
- Utilize technologies to collect, clean, analyze, predict, and effectively communicate insights such as model logic and restrictions.
- Able to examine data sets and determine the best analysis plan to address key business questions and proactively identifies opportunities for significant operational, process or system level product improvements.
- Works with stakeholders to define business questions, requirements, timelines, objectives, and success criteria to address need.
- Work closely with the functional stakeholders to understand the domain and iteratively refine analyses.
- Manage team of postmarket surveillance data analysts
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree with minimum 9 yrs of experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Masters Degree Preferred
- Will perform this job in a quality system environment. Failure to adequately perform tasks can result in noncompliance with governmental regulations.
- Experience in data transformation and modernizing reporting strategy and report validation.
- Strong knowledge in SQL, PowerBI, Python, Data Leadership, Azure, DataBricks or Redshift
Preferred Qualifications
- Related work experience with a complete understanding of specified functional area.
- Comprehensive knowledge and application business concepts, procedures and practices.
- Uses in-depth knowledge of business unit functions and cross group dependencies/ relationships.
- Is recognized as an expert in work group.
- Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.
- Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
- Has broad knowledge of various technical alternatives and their potential impact on the business.
- Experience in team management and data reporting workload management.
- Preferred knowledge in PowerAutomate.
