Accountabilities
- Identification and extraction of relevant data from various internal and external sources.
- Performing sensitivity analysis and scenario planning.
- Monitoring and evaluation of the performance of existing models.
- Development and implementation of data quality control procedures.
- Building and validation of quantitative models to support decision-making across different business areas.

Join us as a Senior Analytics Manager in Client Insights team. The Client Insights team exist to create new data products and insights and run a range of existing products marketed under Client Insights in Global Transaction Banking by commercialising the vast data we hold on our clients, their products, markets and competitors.
The purpose of the role is to manage and develop an advanced analytical team delivering insights to external corporate clients using the Barclays transactional and demographic data, utilising the Hadoop-based platform. It will also involve collaborating with the rest of Client Insights (Product, Proposition Management) to lead the analytical development on new scale insights data products and insights through new tooling such as AWS and Tableau/Power BI.
Accountability Specifics:
- Leads on execution of existing live insights products, including scoping direct with clients and utilising a team of analysts to deliver on contracted targets and SLAs, while maintaining output accuracy.
- Be the go-to contact for analytical questions for existing contracted corporate clients.
- Collaborates with BUK CDAO and Corporate Data Services to deliver on our AWS migration, including leading proofs of concept for new data enrichment models within Client Insights and production implementation through technology partners.
- Demonstrate insights innovation in the development of scale insights for corporates, including new insight visualisation, code and output standardisation.
- Regularly contribute at pricing and project scoping discussions, applying analytical thinking to pricing to ensure maximum return on resources utilised.
- Build and maintain a broad network of internal and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority across digital, data, technology, corporate coverage and Go to Market.
Essential Skills/Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in an analytical / statistical discipline required (e.g. Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Operations Research or related quantitative field).
- At least some years of leading a data and analytics function/team and an understanding of big data platforms, data analytics and reporting tools and techniques.
- Experience of working with a range of stakeholders and building effective relationships across the business and geographies.
- Strong knowledge of Python and SQL.
- Proficiency in data visualisation software, ideally Tableau.
Desired Skills/Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience of big data platforms such as Hadoop and Teradata.
- Experience in applying Data Science/AI/ML preferred.
- Familiarity with AWS.
