The Role: Data and Reporting Analyst

The Role’s Impact: The Data and Reporting Analyst supports Channel Managers to develop the Sales/Referral agent business of S&P Global Commodity Insights by ensuring strong support for Sales/Referral agents globally throughout the entire partner cycle – from onboarding, contract management, pipeline setting and review, campaigns monitoring, and overall commercial activity reporting. This job is perfect for an individual keen to work with Sales, can coordinate quickly and effectively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, and is capable of designing and presenting business reports and presentations to high-level stakeholders. The successful candidate will be expected to develop deep expertise in leveraging our customer relationship management platform (i.e. Salesforce) to facilitate success of existing Sales/Referral agents relationships and ensure Channel Managers and executive management have clear visibility on their financial performance. The role is a global role supporting the EMEA, APAC and Americas dedicated regions.

The Team: This role is focused on building knowledge on the Sales/Referral agent concept. After 3 months you will be able to understand the full administrative support and reporting capabilities needed to work with and support the S&P Global Commodity Insights Channel Manager team, generating relevant reports, highlighting any anomalies, and monitoring incentives and royalties to Sales/Referral agents.

  • In your first months, working with the Channel Manager team of the S&P Global Commodity Insights globally, coupled in working together with other central resource functions, you will focus on learning about the Sales/Referral Agents concept. You will get familiar with the internal processes and groups relevant to your role. You will be invited to participate in commercial discussions and contribute to new and modified contracts with Sales/Referral agents. The universe of Sales/Referral agents is global coverage, and it is important to be able to work with the different times zones and have flexibility in setting up meetings accordingly.

  • The transitioning into the Data and Reporting Analyst role as part of S&P Global Commodity Insights where you spend approximately 60% of your time working on the administrative part of the global contracts in place, making sure that information is in high quality and visible in the Salesforce and Einstein dashboards. The remaining 40% of the time will be spent on furthering the knowledge of Sales/Referral agents and to support campaigns and other commercial activities, together with the Channel managers and generate relevant reports.

We create over 16,000+ daily assessments used for 1,500+ cleared financial instruments that transact more than $10 billion every day. We stream over 20,000 bids, offers, and trades a month from more than 450 of the top Commodity Trading companies globally. Furthermore, we track 60,000 plus vessels live, create over 1,000 weekly reports, and monitor nearly 90% of the world’s refineries. S&P Global Commodity Insights leads the Energy information market in Upstream solutions as Gas & Power solutions and is highly focused to generate market dominance in Energy transition.

Responsibilities

  • Administration of Sales Agent partnerships

    • Work with Channel Managers to get partners approved by Leadership

    • Prepare new business cases with Channel Managers

    • Support the creation of agreements and redlining by partners (termination letters and new agreements, NDA’s)

    • Renewal review and reminders to Channel Managers/Sales Managers for approval to renew or terminate partnership 120 days or more prior to renewal

    • Supervision of new opportunities in Salesforce for via partnerships and the entitlements of the S&P Products being provided by them

    • Support for order management/licensing/partners when requests come through

    • Keep updated on Pricing and Product Code changes

    • Retirement of Partner offering. Follow through with all applicable items (i.e. Accounting)

    • Keep partnership list updated with new partners, Agreements, and retired/cancelled partners

  • Pipeline preparation and stakeholder reporting

    • Extracting all relevant pipeline and renewal information for team

    • Perform quality checks on pipeline validity and conduct reconciliation, if necessary.

    • Prepare performance reports on partners for Channel Managers and executive stakeholders

    • Update all stakeholders of any changes to existing partnership agreement

  • Integration support

    • Develop smooth integration of Sales Agent program into new CI legal framework. Work on the logistics for correct execution during 2023.

Core Qualifications:

  • 3+ years industry experience in revenue reporting and pipeline management, data analysis and data administration, especially with Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and other related tools.

  • Professional English language skills, understand basic English contractual language

  • Experience in using Salesforce.com to manage client records, sales pipeline and input client leads

  • Experience in data visualization via Einstein, Tableau or Power BI

  • Experience in data retrieval, data manipulation and visualization via MS Excel

  • Entrepreneurial spirit, commercial awareness, ability to work as a part of a team in a matrix organization

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Project management and process improvement experience, a plus
