PURPOSE

• This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data engineering and work with a team of experienced professionals.
• This role will assist in designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure and pipeline

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Data Pipeline Development: Assist in building, optimizing, and maintaining data pipelines to ensure efficient data flow and high data quality.
• Data Integration: Support the integration of various data sources into our data warehouse.
• Data Cleaning and Transformation: Participate in data cleaning, transformation, and enrichment processes to ensure data accuracy and usability.
• Database Management: Help maintain and optimize data pipeline, ensuring optimal performance and consistency.
• Technical Documentation: Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including data dictionaries, process documentation, and user guides.
• Collaboration: Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and other team members to understand data requirements and deliver data solutions.
• Learning and Development: Continuously enhance your knowledge and skills in data engineering, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practice

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

• Demonstrated understanding of key concepts, technologies, and processes during the internship
• Progress in technical and soft skills during the internship period (e.g., communication, problem-solving).

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

• Currently pursuing a Diploma/ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Familiarity with SQL and relational database concepts is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Knowledge of ETL concepts and big data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
